As part of the ongoing construction works at the Port of Sirte Free Zone (SFZ), the implementation of the eastern pier is continuing at an advanced pace, with efforts currently focused on piling operations, as the pier design relies on the pile system as the main construction basis.
In parallel, the permanent formwork of these piles is carried out by painting them with epoxy, due to their high resistance to corrosion and environmental and marine conditions, with the aim of enhancing the durability of the infrastructure and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
