Sirte Free Zone reviews its achievements to the Commander-in-Chief during his visit to Sirte
As part of the visit of the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu al-Qasim Haftar, to the city of Sirte, accompanied by the Prime Minister of Libya, Dr. Osama Hammad, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, and the Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Eng. Belkassim Haftar, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Sirte Free Zone, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ferjani, and a number of members of the House of Representatives, sheikhs, notables and residents of the city.
The Commander-in-Chief stressed that the urban and environmental development that the city of Sirte is witnessing was not the result of chance, but rather the result of efforts, sacrifices and continuous work in difficult circumstances, pointing out that the process of construction and reconstruction is ongoing and will not stop, and that what is being achieved today is part of a comprehensive national project that extends to various parts of Libya.
The Commander-in-Chief announced the launch of a new package of development and strategic projects in the city of Sirte and a number of Libyan cities, in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy, improving the level of services and enhancing opportunities for sustainable development, stressing that Libya is one homeland, its army is one, and its people are one family.
During the events, Sirte Free Zone and its commercial port showcased the most prominent achievements achieved during the past period, and the growing role played by the region in supporting economic and logistical activity and enhancing the position of Sirte as a strategic hub for trade and investment.
The Commander-in-Chief also called on the youth of Libya to take responsibility, advance to the fields of work and production, and actively contribute to building the new Libya.
At the end of the activities, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Sirte Free Zone, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ferjani, presented the Free Zone Shield to the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar, in appreciation of his continuous support for development and infrastructure projects and his efforts in supporting the construction and reconstruction process in the city of Sirte.
