The Board of Directors of Sirte Free Zone held its regular meeting for the year 2026 under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Mahmoud Milad Al-Ferjani, and in the presence of the members of the Council, to discuss a number of administrative, technical and organizational files related to the progress of work and the development plans of the Free Zone.
The meeting witnessed a review of the reports of departments and offices, and discussed a number of priority topics, including the development of institutional performance, training and qualification plans, and mechanisms for upgrading services, in addition to following up on the implementation of projects, where the Council took a number of decisions and directives to enhance performance efficiency and achieve the goals of the next phase.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Board of Directors’ keenness to enhance the role of Sirte Free Zone as one of the strategic projects supporting the national economy, due to its distinguished geographical location on the Mediterranean coast and promising potential in the fields of trade, logistics, investment and industry. The Free Zone also continues to implement its vision to build an attractive investment environment, and strengthen its position as an economic and logistical hub that serves trade and investment, and contributes to supporting sustainable development in Libya.
